Naglabas ng special weather outlook ang Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) para sa Araw ng Kalayaan sa Huwebes, Hunyo 12.

Ayon sa PAGASA, inaasahang makakaapekto ang Southwest Monsoon sa bansa sa Araw ng Kalayaan. 

Magdadala ang Southwest Monsoon ng paminsan-minsang pag-ulan sa Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Palawan, at Occidental Mindoro habang maulap na kalangitan na may isolated rain showers o thunderstorms ang mararanasan sa natitirang bahagi ng Luzon at kanlurang bahagi ng Visayas.

Maulap na kalangitan naman ang mararanasan sa iba pang bahagi ng bansa na may posibilidad ng localized rain showers o thunderstorms, kadalasan sa hapon o gabi.

Para naman sa Luzon at western section ng Visayas, "Moderate to strong southwesterly to southerly winds will prevail over Luzon and the western section of Visayas, with moderate to rough seas due to the southwest monsoon."

Dagdag pa ng weather bureau, "Moderate to strong southwesterly to southerly winds will prevail over Luzon and the western section of Visayas, with moderate to rough seas due to the southwest monsoon. Gusty conditions may also be expected over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Isabela, Aurora, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Quezon, Antique, and Aklan. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds from the southeast will affect the rest of the country, with slight to moderate seas."
